Child Adolescent Music Brain Study (CHAMBR Study)
The goal of the CHAMBR study is to investigate the impact of early childhood music instruction on children’s outcomes using the following indicators: behavioral (i.e., inattention, hyperactivity/impulsivity), cognitive (e.g., executive functioning), emotion regulation, and socioemotional functioning. This longitudinal study is an excellent opportunity to aid in the scientific understanding of how music impacts early childhood development while receiving quality music education.
Eligibility to participate:
· Age 4-6 years old at intake
· Child must be English speaking
· Parent/legal guardian is participating in the study
· Ability to commute weekly to Ferkauf Graduate School of Clinical Psychology
